So...I was checking out the pictures from Linthead's designs, and I had an idea for the audio portion of the video. I thought maybe we could have a slide show of their composite images and talk about the benefits of the places they planned to renovate. We could talk about the train bringing in tourists, people having a place to exercise at the YMCA, get coffee in the city, take a relaxing walk on the bridge, and visit the farmers market to get fresh food. These are my ideas :) thats all.

Japanese theme

So just an idea I wanted to throw out there and I'll have more solid of a plan at the meeting, but I was thinking we could go with a whole asian / japanese theme for the block.

I was thinking the last picture posted by John we could manipulate into one of those japanese garden pond deals like this:

we could replace the side walk with a cool bridge:

Possibly replace the dorm building with a traditional looking japanese building: (you know how they have the French house / dorm on campus. Well we could make this like the "Japanese house / dorm" and work that multicultural learning community aspect)

John suggested we put an outdoor stage / concert in the field of Maxcy park. Here is an outdoor stage I found:

I even found a pic of a lot of Japanese people sitting around that we could possibly put in the park attending the performance.

I was thinking if we could get some shots of that overgrown park area we could easily make it into a japanese looking garden. (maybe a zen garden as part of it or a cool gazebo here and there with some more aesthetically pleasing foliage)

Anyway, just an idea but I think we could run with it pretty easily and the work wouldn't be too complicated. All the pictures I posted are large and I have higher res. copies of on my copy.

Let me know what you guys think.

See you at the meeting
